Bruno's real name is Peter Gene Hernandez. "Bruno" is the nickname that his father gave him when he was two years old. Bruno chose the "Mars" part later. He thought it sounded exciting and energetic, and was sure that a cool name would help his music career.

Bruno has Puerto Rican, Jewish Filipino and Spanish origins. He says growing up in Hawaii made him the man he is. "Everybody in my family sings, everyone plays instruments", he says. By age four, he played int the family band. Soon he became known for his Elvis Presley impersonations.

People often compare Bruno and the "King of Pop". Like Michael Jackson, Bruno's voice has exeptional tone and is souful and clear. Bruno is a superb dancer and comes from a big family. He is also a big fan of hats...

My ideal home

Here we are in my ideal home. It's a very new house, in the town centre. It's got three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a big with a pool.

On an ideal afternoon in my ideal home, I'm swimming in the pool with my friends. My mum, is making the dinner, and my father is working on the computer. My brother, is waiting, for me, to play football.

 MY LAST SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Hi, I'm Jordi I'm 12 and now I'm going to show you my oral presentation about my last summer holidays.

Firstly I'm going to talk about my trip to England

Secondly I'm going to talk about Banyoles.

And finally I'm going to talk about my last days on the beach.

England

Well, on the 7th of July I went to Gloucester, a town in the south of England. When I arrived there, I met my host family. They were Karlene, Ray and their daughter Todi. They had 12 cats! I didn't like them but one of them was 2 weeks old and it was very friendly and cute!

Every day we had lessons in the morning at the college. In the afternoon we did sport activities or some excursions. The first Saturday we went to Oxford. We saw the university and the surroundings.

Second Saturday we went to London and it was fantastic! We visited the Houses of Parliament  Buckingham palace, Hyde Park and a lot of other places. Finally we went shopping in Oxford Street.

On Sundays we ate English traditional breakfast and we stayed with the host families. We did a lot of activities. We met friends too.

The last day we said bye to Chinese, Spanish and all the teachers and we arrived home.

It was a fantastic trip so this year I'm going to repeat the experience.

In August, I stayed in Banyoles with my friends and some days, we went to the lake.

Other days, I went to the beach with my family too.

My last summer

My last summer

Hi my name is Jordi and now I'm going to explane my last summer.

First I went to a campus in Tiana with my friends: Adrià, Eloi and Quim. There, I was very scared first because I saw the rooms. The rooms were very big and in my room there were about 15 beds. There I met a lot of friends like Oriol Soldevilla, Enric, Roger, Pau, Oliver, Marc etc. I also met an other friends like Ignasi Vilarrasa, Marc, Núria, Violeta, Roser...They were from Barcelona and Tortosa a town in the south of Catalonia.

In the campus I learned a lot of English and I had fun too.

In August, I went to Venice, Florence, Genova and Pisa. First I went to Genova by car. There I stead at the hotel for 1 night to rest. I also went to the beach near there but I don't swam a lot.

In the second day we went to Venice. It was fantastic. First I went to Sant Marco's square. I had a coffee there and it was very expensive. On the other day I went by gondola and it was very expensive too but it was very interesting and exciting.

I was very happy in Venice.

Three nights before I went to “La Firenze”. There I visited a lot of churches and the “ponte Veccio”. I also ate a lot of pizza and pasta.

The last day I went to the tower of Pisa.

I had a great holidays!

In the lasts days of the summer I stayed in Banyoles. I went to the lake and the swimming pool with my friends. It was fantastic.

1. PRESENTATION

Did the pawerpoint help your presentation? Well, I think that my powerpint was helped my presentation because it wasn't very long and I could speak a lot with one or two imatges.

Did you talk/show the photos to the audience? Well, I think that I didn't mention all the imatges but I speak a lot about the places, and I had the imatges to contrast it.

2. BODY LANGUAGE/EYE CONTACT

Did you look at the audience most of the time? Well I think that I look the audience all the time because I talked to him not to the wall.

Did you stop to separate the different parts of your speech? Yes, I separated the different parts on the begining of the presentation and when I finished a part of the presentation.

Did you smile and do gestures to hold the attention of the audience? Well, sometimes, I smile to the audience but I dindn't do a lot  of gestures because I was nervous.

3. STRUCTURE

Did you introduce yourself and the topic? Yes I introduce my self at the beginig of the presentation. I also introduce the topic.

Did you organise your ideas before start? Yes I organise my ideas before I spoke.

Did you use dicourse markers? Yes, I like to used them because they helped me. I used it a lot of time.

Did you finish it properly? Yes, I finished it properly. I said bye at the audience and I also said "Thanks for your attention"

4. CONTENT

Was the information too long/short? Well I think that the information was very long or very short. It was good because the audience was interested with my presentation.

Did you introduce interesting information for the audience? Well, I think that I introduce some interesting information about Venice like to visited the places you haven't got a car.

5. LANGUAGE

Are there any important grammar mistakes? Wich ones? Verbs? Vocabulary? Well I think that I had a good vocabulary. I don't know that if I had one or two mistakes. Probably is this true but I think that the verbs and the grammer was good.

Did you use sentence linkers? Yes, I used them. For example sometimes I use and or but.

Did you use new vocabulary from the dictionary? Wich words? Yes, I used new vocabulary, but some of them were a typic words of Venice, like Gondola or Vaporetto.

Did you use fillers? Yes, a lot of times! I used well, for example...

6. PRONUNCIATION/INTONATION

Did you speak calm and slowly? Yes, I speak calm and I said well a lot of time.

Did you change your tone or you used the same monotone? Well, sometimes I changed the tone but not much times.

7. SELF-EVALUATION

You are your teacher! What mark did you get? I think that I get a 8.5 or a 9!

9, Expedition

EXPEITION

SATURDAY 9TH OF AUGUST.

I'm going to go on an expedition next Saturday. I'm going to stay in a hotel on Venice called “La Gondoletta”. I must take a first eye-kit, a torch because I went to the square at night and my laptop because there aren't any computers in the hotel.

SUNDAY 15TH OF AUGUST

Here I'm in a tent. It's cold and stormy so we're staying in a the tent old the day. I'm not going to take photos because the weather is bad. We aren't going to play any activities.

SATURDAY 23RD OF AUGUST

This is me in the mountains. I had a fantastic time, but it's very cold. I went to a tent of my friend and I must take a compass, a torch and a first eye-kit.

Gerard Piqué

Gerard Piqué 's full name is Gerard Piqué Bernabeu but his nickname is Piquenbauer. He was born in Barcelona, Spain on 2^nd of February 1985. He's 1 metre 92 centimetres tall. He's slim and he's got short fair hair. The colour of his eyes are green and they are also very big. He has also a beard.

Gerard Piqué started playing football when he was very young in he Masia with other players like Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández or Lionel Messi! He became a professional in 2006, when he was 19 years old. He played for Manchester United in England and then he played for Saragossa before he joined in FC. Barcelona. He also plays for the Spanish national team and he plays as defence with Sergio Ramos in the national team and with Carles Puyol or Mascherano in FC Barcelona.

Pique won his first big trophy in Manchester United in 2007/2008, he won the English Premier League championship and also the Champions League!!!

Gerard now is one of the most famous footballers in the world. Every year he is included in the ideal team.

Now he's in a relationship with Shakira and in January this year he had one son. His name is Milan!

London

London is a great city in the middle south of England, a European country and now it's the capital city. In the Roman times, about two thousand years ago, the name of this city was Londinium. Now the population is bigger than before. The population in London is about 11. 905. 500 at this moment.

There are important persons in the history of London for example: William Shakespeare, Virginia Woolf, Charles Chaplin, Arthur Conan Doyle, the writer of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Probably, some of them are in one of the places, museums or important streets at the city centre.

There are also a great football players from London for example Frank Lampard or David Beckham.

The people of London are called Londoners.

London is one of the biggest cities in the world. It's also very rich. It is very nice and famous. Big Ben, Trafalgar Square or Hight Park are some of the beautiful places in the city centre.

This summer I go to London. I think London is a great city.

PSY A "Gangnam Style" singer. People love to laugh at PSY's Gangnam Style video. But in his home country, South Korea, Psy is a national hero. Go to Youtube and look for Gangnam Style... you'll see that more than 999 million people have watched the video by singer Psy. But a lot of them can't understand the lyrics: Psy sings in Korean. There is nobody like Psy Psy's musical style is 100% original. It is often called "K-pop", but this term is misleading (see box top rigt) as Psy mixes lots of styles. The video "Gangnam Style" mixes rap and martial arts with dance moves that look like Psy is on a horse! Thank you Facebook Psy likes to hove fun, and his humorous videos are a big part of his success (he imitates artists like Lady Gaga). He beat stars Katy Perry and Rihana win the MTV "Best Video" award in 2012. Social media have also made Psy famous. Last November, about 20,000 people came to see him at a "flshmob" event in Paris that was organised on Facebook. Can Psy continue? Amazed by his success, Psy is not sure if he can make another song better than "Gangnam Style". But he shouldn't worry. Someone with the imagination to create pop songs inspired by horses is sure to have lots of other crazy musical ideas.

Tigers The animal in this photo is a Tiger. Adult tigers are 150/200 kilos. They can jump more than 10 meters and they can run very fast. Tigers live in the India, Bangladesh, Bengala, Nepal and Birmània. They live in the jungle.They are carnivores. Tigers usually eat monkeys, young elephants and cocks. Females have got about six cubs. Some tigers are in danger. There are 4000 wild tigers in the world approximately. Sometimes humans hunt tigers and put them in some zoos.

 Hi! I'm very exiting that you're coming to stay with us next week. Here's some information about my timetable and my school. School starts at 9.00 and there are six lessons every day. The lessons are one hour. Catalan, Spanish, English, Social studies, Science, Maths, P.E, I.T, religion and music are compulsory subjects in the first of ESO. 
 At lunch time, there are some extra activities like sing and after school there are also activities like dance. I always have lunch in the canteen. The food aren't usually very good. Vegetables and fish are the food than they give more. There aren't fizzy drinks, juice or sweets. Bye for now.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I go to football tournaments and on Mondays, Thursday and Friday I go to music lessons. On Tuesday I go to English lessons and on Friday I go to maths classes My weekend. On Saturday I usually get up at 9 o'clock. Then I go to walk my dog. At half past ten I have breakfast with my family. Then I do my homework. At one o’clock I have lunch because at 2 I go to Banyoles football pitch. At three o’clock I start my football match. I finish these at half past four proximately. I go to my house, I watching TV or I relax in the sofa. At 6 o'clock sometimes I meeting friends. I go to bed at 12 o'clock. 2. About Banyoles

About Banyoles Banyoles, is a small town in the north of Catalonia (Spain) a country in Europe. 

Banyoles is about 20,000 an there isn't much of tourism. Banyoles is a good place because it safe and the people are very friendly.

I like it because it has a lake and in the summer is very funny to go swimming with your friends. 

My favourite places are the squares, the lake and the football pitch. Banyoles is from 1 hour to Barcelona by car and 1 hour and 15 minutes by bus. I love Banyoles.
