My ideal home

Here we are in my ideal home. It's a very new house, in the town centre. It's got three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room and a big with a pool.

On an ideal afternoon in my ideal home, I'm swimming in the pool with my friends. My mum, is making the dinner, and my father is working on the computer. My brother, is waiting, for me, to play football.

My favourite room, is my bedroom, of course! It's got a big TV and also a big bed. I like this room, because I have all my things, and no one of the family can enter in it.. It's only for me.

Halloween!

HALLOWEEN

When and where is it celebrated? Is celebrated on 31st October in Canada, USA and Mexico.

Why is it celebrated on the 31st October? 
Because in this date, because the festival was around the idea of linking the living with the dead.

Is it a religious celebration? No, but now some people think that it is.

What does the word 'Halloween' mean? Halloween mean night of all Saint's.

Name 2 typical games.  Trick-or-treating, apple bobing.

When did it become a dangerous celebration?Why? When contact became possible between the spirits and the physical world, and magical.

How do people celebrate it today? The boys, at night go to the houses to do the trick-or-treating.

My last summer holidays

Laia Tortós-Sala: She went to England with her sister and two more friends.

Cristina Düthmann: She went to Paris with her sister, her French teacher and Elisabet Planas. She stayed there 10 days.

Laura Trigueros: In August she went with her mother to Italy. She visited Genova, Florencia...

Joan Cagigós: He went to Mallorca in his father house.

Maria Port: One day she went to a concert of Catarrres group.

Xènia Tubert: She went to the Fonts del Llobregat with her family.

 MY LAST SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Hi, I'm Jordi I'm 12 and now I'm going to show you my oral presentation about my last summer holidays.

Firstly I'm going to talk about my trip to England

Secondly I'm going to talk about Banyoles.

And finally I'm going to talk about my last days on the beach.

England

Well, on the 7th of July I went to Gloucester, a town in the south of England. When I arrived there, I met my host family. They were Karlene, Ray and their daughter Todi. They had 12 cats! I didn't like them but one of them was 2 weeks old and it was very friendly and cute!

Every day we had lessons in the morning at the college. In the afternoon we did sport activities or some excursions. The first Saturday we went to Oxford. We saw the university and the surroundings.

Second Saturday we went to London and it was fantastic! We visited the Houses of Parliament  Buckingham palace, Hyde Park and a lot of other places. Finally we went shopping in Oxford Street.

On Sundays we ate English traditional breakfast and we stayed with the host families. We did a lot of activities. We met friends too.

The last day we said bye to Chinese, Spanish and all the teachers and we arrived home.

It was a fantastic trip so this year I'm going to repeat the experience.

In August, I stayed in Banyoles with my friends and some days, we went to the lake.

Other days, I went to the beach with my family too.
